HomeMy WebLinkAbout20041362 RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF TEMPORARY PERMIT FOR A TAVERN LIQUOR LICENSE FOR SIPRES LOUNGE, INC., DBA SIPRES LOUNGE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,Sipres Lounge, Inc.,dba Sipres Lounge, 1490 Weld County Road 27, Brighton, Colorado 80601, presented to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,an application for a Transfer of Ownership of a Tavern Liquor License,for the sale of malt,vinous and spirituous liquors for consumption by the drink on the premises only,said License previously held by Teodulo Varela, dba Teo's Lounge and Grill, and WHEREAS,Section 12-47-106.5, C.R.S.,which became effective July 1, 1991,allows for the issuance by the Board of County Commissioners of a temporary permit to the transferee of an existing liquor license to authorize the transferee to conduct business and sell alcoholic beverages at retail in accordance with said license, subject to compliance with certain conditions, and WHEREAS, Sipres Lounge, Inc., has complied with all of the conditions set forth in said Section, and WHEREAS, Sipres Lounge, Inc. has also submitted the required application fee for said temporary permit of$100.00. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,that having examined said application and other qualifications of the applicant for the transfer of the Tavern Liquor License and having considered said request for a temporary permit,does hereby grant to Sipres Lounge, Inc.,dba Sipres Lounge, 1490 Weld County Road 27, Brighton, Colorado 80601, a Temporary Permit to conduct business and sell malt, vinous and spirituous liquors for consumption by the drink on the premises only, at retail at said location in accordance with the license previously held by Teodulo Varela,dba Teo's Lounge and Grill,subject to all other rules and regulations set forth by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,fora period of 120 days,or until such time as the application for Transfer of Ownership is approved by the State of Colorado, whichever shall occur first. Until the Transfer of Ownership has been considered by the Board of Commissioners and notification has been received from the State advising whether this Transferof Ownership request has been approved or disapproved,the Board hereby authorizes the continued sale of malt, vinous, and spirituous liquor at this establishment which is located at 1490 Weld County Road 27, Brighton, Colorado 80601, under a Temporary Permit which has been approved by the Board on May 10, 2004. This Temporary Permit allows Sipres Lounge, Inc.,dba Sipres Lounge,to conduct business and sell malt,vinous and spirituous liquors for consumption by the drink on the premises only, at retail at said location in accordance with the license previously held byTeodulo Varela,dba Teo's Lounge and Grill,subject to all other rules and regulations set forth by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, for a period of 120 days,or until such time as the application for Transfer of Ownership is approved by the State of Colorado, whichever shall occur first.
