Provide new pit ladders installed at jamb side of entry door openings at each elevator pit. 2 . Furnish and install weatherproof GFCI receptacles in Elevator Pits. Re-use existing circuit for elevator pit receptacle or obtain power from nearest panelboard with space capacity. 3 . Furnish and install guarded light, as specified, and switch in elevator pit. Re-use existing circuit for elevator pit light or obtain power from nearest panelboard with space capacity. See Electrical Fixture Cut Sheet attached herewith. 4 . Provide Fire Smoke protection at each shaftway to meet all Codes. Install new smoke detector at each shaftway to tie into FireLite Fire Alarm System. See Electrical Drawings. Fire protection units shall be installed and wired to marked terminals in the equipment room. 5. Furnish and install conduit from telephone backboard to elevator equipment rom and stub 3/4" conduit through elevator shaftwall for dedicated phone line for each elevator. Owner communication vendor shall furnish and install wiring from Emergency telephone harnesses to conduit stub in. From each elevator equipment room, elevator emergency phone wiring shall be routed to Weld County Communications Center at 1950 "O" Street, Greeley, Co. by Weld County Communication Vendor. Furnish and install telephone instrument in telephone compartment and connect to the telephone system. 6. Equipment Rooms. Cap any dead outlet boxes. All existing exposed wiring must be in conduit or removed; Code requirement. 7 . Provide materials and labor for electrostatic paint and refinish of hoistway doors and frames at all stops and openings for Elevator One and Elevator Two. Specifications and procedures must be equivalent to the following approved applicator: Electro Painters, Inc. 3266 S. Platte River Dr. , Englewood, Co. 80110; (303) 761-6247 . Air quality during the application must meet acceptable levels as set by NIOSH (The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) and the ACGIH (American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists) . Refer to Sketch Nos. AD-4 . 6 , AD-4 . 7 as attached herewith. 8 . Remove existing finish flooring and first layer subflooring at each elevator. Furnish and install new 3/4" AD plywood subflooring at Elevator One and Two. Elevator vendor shall furnish and install new "diamond treadplate" flooring at each elevator. Elevator vendor shall inspect and approve new installed subflooring. Beginning of work to install "Diamond Treadplate" flooring shall indicated acceptance of subfloor installation. 9 . No equipment, including conduit and wiring, will be installed in the hoistway other than that required for the elevator equipment. Cutting and patching, finish work, electrical, ventilation of hoistway (if required) , patching and filling of hoistway wall penetrations and beveling of ledges, removal of non-code compliant hoistway and equipment room wiring and duct; miscellaneous fire service related fixtures and wiring, will be included in General Contract workscope and will not be completed by Elevator Vendor. ELEVATOR ONE ONLY. FURNISH AND INSTALL THE FOLLOWING WORRSCOPE: 1. Provide waterproofing at existing elevator pit walls. Waterproofing shall extend 5 feet up walls from floor surface at all four walls. Waterproofing product shall be SikaProof Seal Cement based waterproof coating. Sika Corporation, Lyndhurst, NJ. (201) 933-8800. Product Cut Sheet is attached herewith. Prior to waterproofing procedure, elevator pit shall be cleared of all dirt and debris and steamcleaned. Follow waterproofing manufacturer' s instructions for all other elevator pit walls preparation prior to applying waterproofing product. 2 . Provide metal cover at existing sump pump. Fabricate a 3 foot square by 2 foot height box of galvanized 20 ga. steel to place over existing sump pump to meet Code requirements. Refer to Sketch AD7 . 0 attached herewith. 3 . Furnish and install cmu block at existing open area at top of elevator equipment room to provide a one hour fire rating. Furnish and install Code acceptable fire caulking at all equipment room penetrations at one hour rated walls and ceiling. Infill area shall require approximately eight 6" light weight grey hollow core block units. Install at Elevator Equipment Room (as shown on Sheet A. 00) southwest corner where vertical wall meets waffle deck. Grout in. Fire caulk at top of wall to waffle deck at infill block area. 4 . Replace elevator mechanical equipment disconnect with shunt trip disconnect. Furnish and install heat detector in elevator equipment room. Interlock heat detector with shunt trip disconnect. 5. Replace elevator cage lighting disconnect with lockable, 2 pole, 30 Amp disconnect switch. Refer to Sketch AD-4 . 6 as attached herewith. ELEVATOR TWO ONLY 1. At top of Shaftway, clad existing gravity relief vent with 5/8" sheetrock and fire tape. 2 . Relocate power service for elevator mechanical equipment. Furnish and install new shunt disconnect device and thermal detector. Interlock heat detectors with shunt disconnect. 3 . Furnish and install 2 pole, 30 Amp disconnect switch for cage lighting. 4 . Extend existing circuits for cage lights and elevator mechanical equipment from existing location in elevator equipment room. Electrical contractor shall verify final equipment for proper sizing of conductors, conduit, devices, etc. . Refer to Sketch AD-4 . 7 as attached herewith. GROUP E. IMPROVEMENTS: HOISTWAY DOOR EQUIPMENT 1. Install new hoistway door hanger rollers, clutch pick-up assemblies, closer reels, and tracking gibs; reuse tracks, interlocks. Install. new entrance frame Braille plates in satisfaction of code. Electrostatically paint arid refinish hoistway doors and frames to place in like new condition to be performed by others. GROUP F. IMPROVEMENTS: - MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT 1. Car top Inspection station complete with alarm bell. 2. Pit stop switch and pit lighting assemblies. GFCI by others 3. Pit ladder. Adequate supports to carry the loads of all equipment including an elevator machine, sheave beams, rail brackets, buffers, footings, etc., as indicated by the layout drawings. This Is applicable when replacing'a machine or increasing dead load,by more than 5%. 5.
