Dear Pam,
This letter is in response to our telephone conversations over the past few weeks and your
letter of October 20. 2003. Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC)is a
nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting rural communities achieve their goals and
visions by providing training,technical assistance and access to resources. Our areas of
locus arc affordably housing development, environmental infrastructure development,
and community development finance. Infrastructure development includes drinking
water,wastewater, and solid waste. Our funding to periurm this technical assistance
comes from a number of sources. The main funding sources for our water and wastewater
work are the United States Department of Agriculture and the United States
Environmental Protection Agency.
'thank you for providing the background documents concerning the water and wastewater
issues at the Hudson Migrant Housing property. Based on my initial review of these
documents, it appears likely that we can assist you and the property owner by providing
technical assistance on the water and wastewater issues. However, we need to have
• discussions with our funding agencies to formally add this project to our work plan. I will
initiate these discussions and will be in contact with you and the property owner to obtain
additional infbtmation. I am looking lbrward to working with you and the property
owner.
