HomeMy WebLinkAbout20041487.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZATION MODIFICATION #3 FOR REED ACT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with an Expenditure Authorization Modification #3 for Reed Act Funds between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Employment Services of Weld County,and the Colorado Department of Labor, commencing April 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2005, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said modification, and WHEREAS,after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said modification,a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,that the Expenditure Authorization Modification#3 for Reed Act Funds between the County of Weld,State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Employment Services of Weld County, and the Colorado Department of Labor be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said modification. Purpose and Goal Employment Services of Weld County will use the additional award of Reed Act funds for activities that support the administration and service delivery of its employment and workforce information system. Services to be Provided Employment Services will continue to focus its efforts to use the Reed Act funds to provide core and intensive services for individuals who apply for the WIA Adult, Youth, and Dislocated Worker Programs.
