They are seeking a permit to store vehicles and equipment associated with a laser-leveling machine. We would like to express our opposition to this request. We live about 1/2 mile north of WCR 18 in a subdivision called Summit View Estates, and the land in question is south of our house and in our direct view. We feel that allowing such equipment would have a negative impact on the property value of our house, and our neighborhood in general. Approving this permit basically allows for an industrial business park to be located in view of our house. There are several areas within 2 miles of the applicant's land where they could store their equipment in a more industrial area with no houses in site. We feel that the applicants are trying to use their homes as industrial storage, without consideration for their neighbors concerns and needs. We ask you to put yourselves in our shoes. You wouldn't want large equipment stored within a stones throw of your house would you;especially if adequate alternatives were available near by. Again, we ask you to deny to the permit request of Robert Carpenter and Daniel Lottman (docket#2004-75). Feel free to call us if you have any questions.
