RE: RECOGNITION OF SERVICES AS DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS - JACK
STATLER
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,Captain Jack Statler of the Greeley Police Department was assigned to serve
as the Director of Communications for the Weld County Regional Communications Center for the
last three years, and
WHEREAS,during the three-year period that Captain Statler served as the Communications
Director,significant projects were successfully undertaken by the department and achieved under
his leadership. These projects included the countywide implementation of the 800 MHZ system,a
major upgrade to the Tiburon public safety computer system, and the relocation of the
communications center to its new location, and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that each of these projects made a major contribution to the
improvement of public safety and service to all Weld County citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Weld County Commissioners
offers this award and recognizes Captain Statler for his efforts and leadership in achieving the
successful implementation of these major projects for the benefit of Weld County citizens.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Commissioners extend a thank you from all
the citizens of Weld County for Captain Statler's accomplishments during the last three years as
the Weld County Communications Director and to all the employees under Captain Statler's
direction who contributed to this success through their dedication and hard work.
