RE: APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION EXEMPTION NO. 161 - MELVIN AND
WILBERT THOUTT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has reviewed the
request of Melvin and Wilbert Thoutt for an exemption from the
definitions of "subdivision" and "subdivided land" in Section
v3
v;r 30-28-101 (d) , CRS 1973, as amended, and Section 2-1 A. (3) of the
Weld County Subdivision Regulations, and

SUPPORTING STATEMENTS
1 . With the use of a quarter section pivot sprinkler system the
corner areas are not useable by the sprinkler, thus leaving the
corners open for other uses .
2 . A letter from partnership owner (Wilbert E. Thoutt) to Melvin E.
Thoutt to act as his agent in this matter is attached.
3. Copy of deed for the property under consideration is attached.
4 . Legal descriptions upon approval by the Board of County Com-
missioners .
5 . This area will remain Agriculture and will be consistent with

Re: Request for a subdivision exemption on a parcel of land described as
the SW1 of Section 22, T5N, R64W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado
Dear Mr. Thoutt:
Your application and related materials for the request described above
are complete and in order at the present time. I have scheduled-a
meeting with the Board of County Commissioners for Wednesday, July 14,
1982 at 9:30 a.m. This meeting will take place in the County Commissioners'
Hearing Room, First Floor, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th
Street, Greeley, Colorado. It is recommended that you and/or a representative
be in attendance to answer any questions the Board might have with
respect to your application.
It is the policy of Weld County to refer an application of this nature to
any town or municipality lying within three miles of the property in
question or if the property under consideration 'is located within the
comprehensive planning area of a town or municipality. Therefore, our
office has forwarded a copy of the submitted materials to the Kersey
Planning Commission for their review and comments. Please contact
Lanell Swanson (353-1681) for further details regarding the date, time
and place of this meeting. According to our records the Kersey
Planning Commission will meet on July 14, 1982. It is recommended that
you and/or a representative be in attendance at the Kersey Planning
Commission Meeting to answer any questions the Commission members may
