First of all let me say that I am not opposed to having a church built on that site. However I am very concerned about how the property will be maintained after the construction has been completed. I say this because of what has happened in the past year. It appears as if the church used the site for a paint- ball range and, after the event was completed, left the field littered with wood pallets and boards. Even now this kind of trash continues to be left on the property. This seems to indicate that the church may have an attitude that does not care about good relations with its neighbors. Needless to say, this causes those of us who will be forced to look at the property a great deal of anxiety. If the church should continue in the future as they have in the past it would severely affect the value of our property in a very negative way. Therefore, I would like to recommend that the church be required to present a site plan designed to protect myself and other home owners in Moriah Estates from any eye-sore in the future. This could be done by planting a row of dense trees. It is very important that tree selection would be made with the thought in mind that our mountain view remain intact. Perhaps there are other solutions which also could be considered by the professionals who will be designing the usage of the entire parcel. Thank you for considering our concerns. If anyone should wish to speak with me about this I can be reached at 686-7039. My work phone is 970-667-5479.
