RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF A CULVERT UNDER CAMPO ROAD AT DOS
RIOS ESTATES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a number of requests from
residents of Dos Rios Estates concerning the installation of a
culvert under Campo Road, and
WHEREAS , the Weld County Engineering Department and the
Colorado Division of Water Resources have made an inspection of
the site and recommended to the Board that a culvert be installed
at said location due to flooding in this area, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received letters from Dos Rios, Inc.
granting permission to breach the road adjacent to the flooding
lake and also from the City of Evans authorizing the acceptance
of the water from the above source temporarily and the Evans
Ditch Company to be the carrier for said water.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the installation of a
culvert under Campo Road at Dos Rios Estates be, and hereby is,
approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of
July, A.D. , 1983 .

To Whom It May Concern:
The City of Evans authorizes the Evans Town Ditch as a temporary
carrier for a flush of water to be discharged from a pond in Dos Rios
Developments in and not to exceed an amount that would cause a problem
to our users or Ditch Rider.
The City of Evans has no objections to accepting the water from the
above source temporarily.

MEMORANDUM
TO: BOARD OF WELD COUN COMMISSIONERS
FROM: JAMES R. CLARK
SUBJECT: CULVERT INSTALL ON REQUEST
Request is hereby made to have a culvert installed under
Campo Road in Dos Rios Estates.
This culvert is necessary to protect the road. The em-
bankment is saturated and has a large crack on the downstream
edge of the road bed.
This is the culvert discussed with Dave Becker and Bud
Schmuhl at the site on Monday, July 25th.
We would like approval at today' s meeting contingent
upon securing approval of the appropriate landowners and the
Evans Town Ditch Company.

I hereby grant permission for the county of Weld, State of Colorado, to breach the
road adjacent to a flooding lake located in Dos Rios. The lake is at near flood stage,
and is due to excess water flowing into lake Reymer, which is located above the lake in
question.
I am of the understanding a relief pipe will be installed in the appropriate place
to relieve the lake of any further flooding.
