Dear Weld County Planning Commissioners:
As per your March 8, 2005 notice of surface development by Mr. and Mrs.
DeHaan, I will detail K. P. Kauffman Company's (KPK) conflicts with the surface
development as to the subject oil and gas wells. KPK would like to formalize a Surface
Use Agreement (SUA) with the landowner to protect surface area around each wellhead
and other oil and gas fixtures.
KPK will require the following restrictions of the surface, but the following will
not limit the SUA:
1. KPK will require 150' around each wellhead with out any improvements,
including but not limited to fences, roads, moveable structures and non-
moveable structures.
2. Suffient distance on each side of an existing flowline and consolidation line.
3. If tank batteries are onsite, KPK will need at least 200' around each tank from
any building or structure
4. Restrict 75' on each side of pipelines from an ignition source.
