RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF "F" STREET BETWEEN 35TH AVENUE TO 59TH AVENUE FOR
SEVENTY-EIGHT WORKING DAYS, FOR INSTALLATION OF A BOX CULVERT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance,temporarily close to
through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof
for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days for project
completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road closure
establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative routing of
the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal
investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close
to through traffic and to regulate,warn and guide vehicular traffic on said County roads by posting
signs thereon.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,deems it necessary to regulate,warn and guide vehicular traffic on County roads
and any intersections thereof,and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic control
devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the
safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal Manual
on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that "F" Street from 35th Avenue to 59th Avenue be
temporarily closed, with said closure being effective January 25, 2005, for approximately
seventy-eight working days for installation of a box culvert, and further,that standard official traffic
control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 24th day of January, A.D., 2005.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Road Closure F St. from 35th Ave to 59'h Ave
This is a road closure to be submitted to the BOCC for the 1/24/04 agenda. The City of Greeley is requesting the
closure of F St. from 35th Ave to 59th Ave for the installation of a box culvert in Weld County Right-Of-Way. The
requested closure would begin on 1/25/05, and will run through 4/12/05. ADT counts for this section of F St are
1360 taken 5/5/04.
The detour route for this project will be 35th Ave to O St to 59Ave to 4th St. All detour routes are paved. They
have project information signs up with the name and phone number of contractor and the permit holder. Prior to
any road closure they will have variable message boards up with closure information displayed.
