RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -VICTOR CORDERO
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to a Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld,State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and
Victor Cordero, commencing June 1, 2004, and ending May 31, 2005, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS,after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment,a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to a Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld,State of Colorado,by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and
Victor Cordero be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 23rd day of March, A.D., 2005, nunc pro tunc June 1, 2004.

RE: Amendment to Child Protection Agreement for Services
Between the Weld County Department of Social
Services and Victor Cordero
Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to a Child Protection Agreement for Services
between the Weld County Department of Social Services (Department) and Victor Cordero. This
Amendment was reviewed at the Board's Work Session of March 9, 2005.
The major reasons for the Amendment are to add a service component to have Victor Cordero
provide Anger Management Classes for Spanish-speaking clients in the child welfare system and
to provide a corresponding fee of$55.00 per hour to provide such service.
All other provisions of the original Agreement remain the same including the term of the
Agreement of June 1, 2004 through May 31, 2005, and the source of funding remains the same
under Core Services funding.

AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
AND VICTOR CORDERO
This Amendment, made and entered into they 3r4ay of March,2005,by and between the Board of Weld
County Commissioners,sitting as the Board of Social Services,on behalf of the Weld County Department of Social
Services, hereinafter referred to as"Social Services," and VICTOR CODERO.
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS,the parties desire to modify their current Agreement(05-CORE-0036) in order to increase its
funding and service; and
WHEREAS, Social Services has budgeted,appropriated, and otherwise made available;and
WHEREAS,required approval, clearance, and coordination have been accomplished from and with
appropriate agencies.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises,the parties hereto covenant and agree as follows:
1. Exhibit A,Scope of Services will be revised to add a new service as follows:
Anger Management Classes for Spanish speaking clients.
2. Exhibit B,Payment Schedule; under Item 2,Fees for Services,will be revised to add a new
service and the correction of fees as follows:

Aliger Management classes for Spanish speaking clients at$55.00 per hour.
