The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, October 5, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Long moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of October 3,2005, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $8,316.13. Commissioner Masden moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Long seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO THE COLORADO WORKS PROGRAM AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-MULTI-DISCIPLINARY YOUTH ASSESSMENT TEAM(MYAT): Judy
Griego, Director of Social Services, stated the amendment adds the 19th Judicial District Probation
Department as a new MYAT contractor for a term of October 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006. She stated
funding will be provided in the amount of$30,000.00 fora full-time staff position on behalf of Probation. She
further stated School District 6 will provide a full-time staff position to MYAT effective November 1, 2005,
and will reduce its funding accordingly to$26,664.00. Ms.Griego stated the source of funding is Colorado
Works or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families under the Community Investment Program - Multi-
Disciplinary Youth Assessment Team(MYAT). Commissioner Geile moved to approve said amendment
and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously.
