RE: AUTHORIZE EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE COVERING CERTAIN PROPERTY
OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - NW1/4, S12, T3N, R61 W
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS,TAP Energy, LLC, submitted a request to extend the lease of 160 net mineral
acres, more or less, described to-wit:
NW% of Section 12, Township 3 North, Range 61
West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,Weld County desires to approve the request submitted by TAP Energy, LLC,
to extend the lease on the above-described mineral acreage for$10 per net mineral acre,for a total
sum of$1,600,together with a rental fee of one dollar($1.00) per net mineral acres,which is to run
fora period of six (6) months, commencing March 12, 2005, and ending September 12, 2005.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request submitted by TAP Energy, LLC, to extend the lease on the
above-described mineral acreage for$10 per net mineral acre, for a total sum of$1,600, together
with a rental fee of one dollar ($1.00) per net mineral acres, which is to run for a period of six (6)
months,commencing March 12,2005,and ending September 12,2005, be, and hereby is,granted
and approved.

Re: Request for Extension and
Payment of Rentals for
County Lease dated 3/13/02
NW/4 Sec. 12, T3N, R61 W
Gentlemen:
As provided for in Article 24 of the subject lease, TAP Energy herein
requests a six month extension of the referenced Weld County Lease, until September 13,
2005, to complete work on the 7,000' drilled and cased well ( County 1-12) located on
this County lease.
We have tested several intervals in the County 1-12 well, and have tested
quantities of oil and gas. We have not attempted to complete all of the prospective zones,
and as yet do not have sufficient gas flows to warrant construction of the pipeline for this
well alone. We have an approved APD to drill an additional prospect test well in Sec. 7,
(the contiguous section to the east), and upon drilling that well, we plan to continue
completion efforts in the County 1-12 wellbore.
We have enclosed our check for $1,760, representing $10 per acre bonus, plus $1.
Per acre rental, as prescribed in Article 24, of our Lease.
Please advise us of the Boards approval of our extension request.
