Why do they want twelve miles they will -j completely control? They say they only need a two mile corridor. Why do they need a two mile corridor? That wide a right of way is not necessary for a highway, rail- road lines or power and utility lines . They say there will be limited access . Access will only be at major high - way intersections . What happens toschool, fire and irrigation districts who have been cut into by the slaB? Access would only be by verylong dr_ ivesto an intersect- ion. Who is putting up two billion dollars to build the slab? Their only answer is it is foreign money. No matter what their front man promises the ones with the money will have the ultimate The money #rail needs to be followed. How will they repay two billion dollars with highway fees of as low as ten dollars? If the county and state give up their rights to control usage in the slap what to stop casinos and other questionable activit- ies to be put into the slab? Think Two billion dollars aain. ''There ar other questions . Do Colorado citizens . want to allow non governmental inities to condemn private property? Do they want foreign interests to control a twelve mile wide strip by two hundred miles long? Thats alot of Colorado real estate . The land values in the slab will certainly go down when they control all usage and have the power to condemn anyone in the twelve mile corridor. If ou farm or ranch or run a business that depends on access to both sides of the corridor how do you continue to operate? If y )u farm do you have to take farm equipment to a major hihway to : •et across the slab? Wouldn' t that be very danger- ous? // /C"`m. ' 2005-1452 OS- r/a- e, In conclusion I would hope our law makers would look at all the negatives such a proposal would make in lost controls , disruption to services, costs to ones need- ing to cross the slab for business reasons and lost in- • come . If such a road is built it should be like any other such project. It should be limited to only the necessary amount of land for theright of ways needed. Access to land on each side of the slab should not be limited to cause undue hardships on anyone . J Norman Brown 13557 WCR 88 Pierce , CO. 80650 1-970-834-2539 Hello
