The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing
Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, June 27, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom
Deputy Clerk to the Board, Carol A. Harding
MINUTES: Commissioner Long moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting
of May 23, 2005, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Linda
Scott, Housing Authority,stated this contract between the Colorado Division of Housing and Weld County
Housing Authority will provide funding to four homeless shelters in the Greeley area, in the amount of
$54,100. Commissioner Masden moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign.
Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously.
CONSIDER STANDARD FORM OF AGREEMENT FOR GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR
SERVICES: Ms. Scott stated this standard agreement, in the amount of$60,000,for Case Management
funds, will be executed with three shelters in Weld County. Commissioner Geile moved to approve the
form of said agreement. The motion,which was seconded by Commissioner Long,carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by
the Acting Clerk to the Board.
