HomeMy WebLinkAbout20051710.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGARDING VIOLATION VI#0300336 AGAINST JACKES, LLC., C/O JESSE RODRIGUEZ FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Jackes, LLC., do Jesse Rodriguez, VI #0300336, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 14th day of June, 2005, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Jackes, LLC., c/o Jesse Rodriguez was not present or represented at said hearing,although all parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services staff, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to bring legal action against those individuals named above to correct said violation. I think it best to treat this now as a non-commercial junkyard. Looks like they hauled off most of the pile of debris, but left metal pieces probably for salvage. I think we can now say that the retained metal is junk being stored and needs to be treated as a zoning violation. That will probably get better response than the continued followup on the abatement.
