Community Water System
Dear Lonnie Zlomke:
The Department of Planning Services is in receipt of your letter dated June 22, 2005 concerning the
replacement of the community well which has shown signs of failing. Your letter states that the community
has applied to the USDA for a Rural Development Loan.
By this letter, the Department of Planning Services is on record acknowledging that subdivisions are
permitted to utilize well water for a potable water source. The subdivision must be capable of meeting state
drinking water regulations(Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations)and have adequate provisions for
a three-hundred-year supply of water. Water systems, including wells, which rely upon Denver Basin
aquifers shall also acquire and incorporate into a permanent supply plan alternative renewable water sources
to ensure water supplies for the future.
That being stated, the Department of Planning Services has inquired into whether or not a public water
source would be available through the Town of Hudson. Jim Landeck, with the Town of Hudson is able to
assist your inquiry. He may be reached at 303 536 9311.
Should you have any questions or need further information, I may be reached at the above address,
telephone number or e-mail address.
Sincerely,
Kim Ogle
Planning Manager

Dear Sirs:
SUBJECT:REPLACEMENT WELL CONCURANCE
Our homeowners association has operated a small community water system since the early part of 1970's.
Those lots that make up the Wiesner Subdivision—First Fling,a subdivision being the south half (S 'A)of
Section 7,Township 2 North,Range 65 West of the 6th Principal Meridian,Weld County,Colorado.We have
applied to USDA-RD Sur a loan to replace our well as the original is beginning to show signs of faa7ng As part
of that application package,USDA-RD requires us to include a letter from you that indicates our replacement
well is not inconsistent with any development plans of the county in which the project is located.
Would you send to me as soon as possible a letter stating that our',inject is not inconsistent with any county
development plans?
Sincerely,
