RE: INCREASE OF THE HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE CLAIM FUND IMPREST AMOUNT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on December 6, 1982, the Board of County Commissioners
established the Health and Life Insurance Claim Fund Imprest Fund in the
amount of $1,000.00, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Government has enacted a new banking regulation
effective December 14, 1982, that allows for money market interest rates for
checking accounts with a balance of $2,500.00, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration has recommended to
the Board that, in order to take advantage of the increased interest revenue
that the imprest fund be increased from $1,000.00 to $2,500.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County that the Health and Life Insurance Claim Imprest Fund is hereby
increased from $1,000.00 balance to $2,500.00 balance plus outstanding checks
for claims at any one time in order to take advantage of the new checking
account interest rates for such claims.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of December, A.D. , 1982.
