RE: APPOINTMENT OF MARION RICHTER TO THE WELD COUNTY BOARD OF
ADJUSTMENT.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists in District No. 2 on the Weld
County Board of Adjustment due to the resignation of Connie Green
whose term would have expired on December 31, 1981, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to the Board of County Com-
missioners that Marion Richter be appointed to membership on said
Board of Adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that Marion Richter be, and
hereby is , appointed to the Board of Adjustment to fill the
unexpired term of Connie Green, said term to expire on December 31 ,
1981.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion dul/ made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 21st day of
April, A.D. , 1980.

Dear Chairman Kirby:
Please accept my resignation from the Weld County Board of Adjustments
because there is a potential conflict of interest since I am now an
Employee of Weld County Government.
Zhave discussed this potential conflict with Assistant County Attorney
Bob Lowenbach, and I fully agree that my resignation is in both my best
interest and that of the board. I have enjoyed serving on this board for
it has been enlightening and productive. The people with whom I served
are conscientious and represent a good balance of interests within
Weld, which I feel is so important to the work of this kind of board.
Please extend my appreciation to these board members and to the staff,
Vicki Traxler, Gary Fortner, Carol Dodge, Chuck Cuneliffe, Tom Rounds
and Bob Lowenbach particularly, for their thorough work and professional
attitude in supporting the Board of Adjustments this past year.
Again, thank you for the opportunity to serve on this board; I sincerely
regret the need to resign. However, I look forward to working with you
in the future as your employee in the capacity of Employer Services
Coordinator for EODS, Division of Human Resources.
