To the County Commissioners of Weld County:
We would like to provide some input on the proposed development:
1. Currently both CR 84 and CR 19 are unpaved and yet both now carry a significant amount of traffic
necessitating frequent visits by the road grader. Each time this occurs our driveway suffers additional lumps and
bumps and it has gotten to the point that it has been done so much that the culvert we placed beneath our drive is
now completely closed off. If this proposal is approved, we would respectfully request the following be strongly
considered:
- Require the developers to cover the costs of paving both CR 19 and CR 84 - this would cut down on the dust
as well as save the county the cost of frequent road grading.
- Install a stop sign (or two)at the intersection of CR 19 and CR 84 -- cars tend to speed along that section and
a well placed stop sign or two might slow the decay of the road as well as increase the safety for the intersection
of CR 84 and the proposed Peace Haven Drive which appears to us to be somewhat of a blind corner.
2. As more and more development occurs east of 125, the traffic load on Colorado Highway 14 has been
increasing. As we travel east on that road and approach the turn to CR 19, it is becoming increasingly common
for us to be passed as we slow to make that turn. We would really like for you all to consider putting in a left turn
lane on CO 14 for the CR 19 intersection as is the case for CR 15.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
