RE: APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO RELINQUISH MINERAL RESERVATIONS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, ithas been brought to the Board of County
Commissioners ' attention that a real estate transaction involving
Denver Plastic Inc. , is interested in purchasing twenty-one lots
located in the town of Hudson, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined, through a title search, that
Weld County retained the mineral rights on seventeen of these
twenty-one subject lots, and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that it is in the best interest of
Weld County to declare Lots 1 through 7, inclusive and Lots 17
through 23, inclusive Block 53 and Lots 17 through 23 , inclusive,
Block 54 , All in the Town of Hudson, as surplus and that said
mineral rights be advertised for sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the above described
mineral rights be declared surplus and advertised for sale.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and
Administrative Services and the Purchasing Director shall advertise
said mineral rights for sale.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th March,

I am acting as agent in a real estate transaction involving Denver
Plastic Inc. as purchaser of 21 lots located in the town of Hudson, Co.
This company intends to build a 20,000 square foot building on these
lots and subsequently relocate from their present location in Lakewood.
We have determined through our title work that weld county retains
the minerals on 17 of these 21 subject lots, the attorney representing
Denver Plastics Inc. has declared this to be an unacceptable encumbrance a
of the property. I have written this letter and will attend your meeting G�
to determine what the Countys disposition would be concerning relinquishing
these mineral reservations.
