The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, April 11, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tern
Commissioner David E. Long - EXCUSED
Commissioner Robert D. Masden - EXCUSED
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol A. Harding
Director of Finance and Administration, Don Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of April 6, 2005, as printed. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden,Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $24,971.33. Commissioner Geile moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER REVISION TO OPERATIONS MANUAL, SECTION 2.000, SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: Gloria Romanski, Department of Social Services, explained there are
several sections being amended to clarify certain adoption policies and procedures, as requested by the
Colorado Department of Human Services,and the forms are being revised. Commissioner Geile moved
to approve said revision. Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-
TRANSITIONS PSYCHOLOGY GROUP: Ms. Romanski stated this agreement will provide training and
treatment services to support foster care homes involved in the specialized Foster Care Program. The
term of said agreement is April 1,2005,through May31,2005. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said
agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Geile, the motion carried
unanimously.

There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
