THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 1st day of July, 1983, by
and between the COUNTY OF WELD, STATE OF COLORADO, hereinafter called
"County", and HOUCHEN BINDERY LTD. , hereinafter called "ROUGHEN".
For and in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions
hereinafter set forth, the parties mutually agree as follows:
1. Term of Agreement. The term of this Agreement shall be from
July 1, 19_83, to and until June 30, 1984.
2. Purpose. County desires to enter into this Agreement for the
purpose of obtaining Book Binding service for the Weld County
Library.
3. Price and Quantity. The price and quantity of goods and services
furnished by Houchen to the County shall be as set forth in the
bid of Houchen, dated June 15, 1983, a copy of which is attached
hereto, marked as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
4. Quality and Workmanship. Houchen agrees to provide the goods and
services provided in this contract in a good and workmanlike
manner in accordance with the customs and practices of
Bookbinders.
5. Additional Provisions. Additional provisions are set forth in
Bid Request No. 339-83, dated June 7, 1983, a copy of which is
attached hereto, marked as Exhibit B and incorporated herein by
reference. Quantities listed in Exhibit B are estimates only and
County reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity as
best fits its needs.
6. Additions to Bid Price Not Allowed. Houchen understands and
agrees that the price quoted in its proposal, marked as Exhibit
A, is the total price to County and that all additional costs
including, but not limited to, freight, postage and handling,
shall be borne by Houchen.

FOR: BOOK BINDING FOR THE WELD COUNTY LIBRARY
SPECIFICATIONS
1 . Only Class "A" binding, as specified by the Library Binding Institute, will
be acceptable.
2. Books to be rebound and periodicals to be bound must be over-sewn, assuring
each signature greater strength.
3. Cover material - Grade F Buckram.
4. Board will be Davey Red Label binder' s board of the proper thickness appropriate
to that volume.
5. Books must be rounded and backed firmly on hydraulic rounder and backer,
making it possible to open and lie flat for ease of reading and reproducing
copies on copying machine.
6. Clean, crisp lettering without blurring. Lettering required: Book Title,
Author's last name & 1st initial , and Call number.
7. Time is to be a 30-day turnaround.
8. Because of the high value of the books and their replacement cost, insurance
on the Library' s books at the bindery and in transit is required.

9. Estimated quantity is 500 books; sizes of books are varied.
10. Prices to be effective from July 1 , 1983 to June 30, 1984.
