The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, February 14, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Debra Miller
Controller, Barbara Eurich
MINUTES: Commissioner Masden moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of February 9, 2005, as printed. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Barbara Eurich,Controller, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount
of $35,221.90. Commissioner Long moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden.
Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-
ATTENTION HOMES, INC.: Judy Griego, Director, Department of Social Services,stated the agreement
is part of the Interstate Compact process between the State of Wyoming and Weld County. Ms. Griego
explained Wyoming has requested Multisystemic Therapy services be provided to a youth currently in the
custody of the Department of Social Services and placed with relatives in Wyoming. She stated Attention
Homes, Inc.will be reimbursed a maximum of$2,500, as a one-time fee for said services, and the source
of funding is from Core Services. She stated the term of the agreement is November 30, 2004 through
April 30, 2005. Commissioner Geile moved to approve said agreement. Seconded by Commissioner
Masden, the motion carried unanimously.
