We are currently developing plans to convert half of our retail Paintball gun store into a
conventional gun and ammunition store. We are preparing our FE'L information to submit
to BATF shortly. In addition to the store, it is our intent to also open a small underground
shooting range within 1-2 years of opening the store. We have contacted Environmental
Health in Greeley, and they statedthatthere are no special permits that have to be
obtained for a contained, underground-shooting range. We will be getting a signature
from the Chief Law Enforcement-Officer, which in this case,would be Sheriff Cook. We
will also be obtaining a letter from the Chamber of Commerce stating their support of our
operations.
Unlike paintball,where clients come and stay for hours playing paintball,typical guns
store clients stay for 30 minutes to 1 hr. In my conversations with other gun storeowners,
peak operations are after 5pm during the week and also Saturdays and Sundays.
1'EL requires that we have secure facilities for such operations and we already have that
infrastructure in place such as barred windows, a remarkable security system, surveillance
cameras, and multiple, locked security doors(not a single door)in which one must get
past to enter the store and playing areas.
We have a great deal of community support both in the public and private sectors for this
project including high profile individuals from law enforcement and prominent members of
our business community.
We have run a very clean, safe, and respectable operation with our paintball operations for
eight years and we have had no complaints from neighbors, motorists, or anyone else. We
continue to bring new and exciting products and services to our community and look
forward to expanding and continuing that trend with the best safety,fun, and service that
Greeley and it's citizens want and deserve through private business.
