RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES,ON BEHALF OF
WILLIAM AND ANN STONEBRAKER, TO PREADVERTISE SITE SPECIFIC
DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND AMENDED USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1416
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 9th day of
March, 2005, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing the
application of William and Ann Stonebraker,4502 Weld County Road 11, Dacono,Colorado 80514,
for a Site Specific Development Plan and Amended Use by Special Review Permit#1416 for a Use
Permitted as a Use by Right, an Accessory Use, or a Use by Special Review in the Commercial or
Industrial Zone District(display fireworks storage and fireworks equipment staging facility,along with
an office) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District on the following described real estate, to-wit:
Lot B of Recorded Exemption#3589;being part of the
NE1/4 of Section 28, Township 2 North, Range 64
West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado
WHEREAS,said applicant was represented by Linn Leeburg, Leeburg and Associates,707
Hawthorn Avenue, Boulder, Colorado 80304, at said hearing, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing the Board deemed it advisable to refer the matter back to the
Planning Commission based on public testimony indicating a lack of notification to surrounding
property owners, and
WHEREAS,the Board has received a request from the Department of Planning Services,
on behalf of William and Ann Stonebraker,4502 Weld County Road 11, Dacono,Colorado 80514,
c/o Leeburg and Associates 707 Hawthorn Avenue,Boulder,Colorado 80304,for preadvertisement
of the application fora Site Specific Development Plan and Amended Use by Special Review Permit
#1416 for a Use Permitted as a Use by Right,an Accessory Use,or a Use by Special Review in the
Commercial or Industrial Zone District(display fireworks storage and fireworks equipment staging
facility, along with an office) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, and
WHEREAS,after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,with
the hearing date to be set as April 13, 2005, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the request from the Department of Planning Services,on behalf of William
and Ann Stonebraker,for preadvertisement of the application for a Site Specific Development Plan
and Amended Use by Special Review Permit#1416 for a Use Permitted as a Use by Right, an
Accessory Use, or a Use by Special Review in the Commercial or Industrial Zone District(display
fireworks storage and fireworks equipment staging facility,along with an office)in theA(Agricultural)
Zone District, be, and hereby is, granted.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Request for Pre-advertisement
The Department of Planning Services,on behalf of William and Ann Stonebraker,has submitted a
request that the application for Amended Use by Special Review Permit #1416, which will be
reheard by the Planning Commission on April 5,2005,be pre-advertised. If you wish to approve this
request, a hearing before the Board on April 13, 2005, will allow adequate time for advertising.
