RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE CHEMICAL PURCHASES FOR
WEED AND PEST DIVISION BID - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for Chemical Purchases for Weed and Pest Division for the Department of Public Works,
Bid Request No. 6006-05, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-
day waiting period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the Chemical Purchases for Weed
and Pest Division for the Public Works Department, Bid Request No. B006-05 be, and hereby is,
waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from Helena Chemical, UAP
Timberland, LLC and Van Diest Supply be, and hereby are, accepted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted

COLORADO SUBJECT: Chemical Purchases for Public Works Department/
Weed and Pest Division
The Weld County Public Works Department/Weed and Pest Division requested bids for herbicides for the 2005 spray
season through MAPO (Municipal Assembly for Procurement Officials). The bids have been received and the low
bidder, that meets County specifications, has been identified for each item.
I recommend we purchase the following chemicals at the prices shown from the low bid supplier identified below.
