Re: Case Number# 1527
Dear Chris Gathman:
I have received your notice of a public hearing in Greeley regarding the plans of Waste
Management Disposal to construct and operate a truck cleaning station on the NW4 of
Section7, T7N, and R66W of the 6th P.M., in Weld County. According to your notice, our
land will be within 500 feet of the facility.
Our property has been in the family for more than 80 years. As the sole survivors, my
sister, Vincenza Garr and myself, Genevieve Pritchard, have our land for sale at this time.
I am 80 years old and my sister is 78 years old. It is our desire to sell the property and
provide our children with the income received. This is our inheritance to them.
r
My sister and I have three children who are realtors. We currently have an offer on this
land, but because of Waste Management Disposal's future plans for that area, the buyers
have decided to withdraw the contract. Our family's realtors have advised us to oppose
this plan because of the detrimental impact and devaluation of our land.
Please file this letter as a protest on Waste Management Disposal's future plans. Also,
please call me if you have further questions or information on this situation. Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
ate
Genevieve Pritchard

10/04/2005 AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS -
COLORADO
Chris, I have reviewed your comments for USR-1527 for today's Planning Commission
and have found a few errors. Three of my recommended conditions are missing under
conditions that must be met prior to the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy and two
Development Standards have been added.
Would you address this at todays PC Hearing? They are:
1. The septic system is required to be designed by a Colorado Registered
Professional Engineer according to the Weld County Individual Sewage Disposal
Regulations.
2. In the event the septic system(s) requires a design capacity of over 2,000 gallons
of sewage per day the applicants shall provide evidence that all requirements of
the Water Quality Control Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health
and Environment (specifically Policies WQSA-6 and WQSA-8 ) have been
satisfied. Evidence of compliance shall be provided to the Weld County
Department of Public Health and Environment.
3. The applicant shall submit evidence of an Underground Injection Control (UIC)
Class V Injection Well permit from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
for any large-capacity septic system (a septic system with the capacity to serve 20
or more persons per day). Alternately, the applicant can provide evidence from
the EPA that they are not subject to the EPA Class V requirements.
Development Standards- Two Development Standards that have been inadvertently
added to the Development Standards. Please remove/delete. They are:
1. An I.S.D.S is required for the proposed facility and shall be installed
according to the Weld County I.S.D.S. Regulations.
2. The septic system is required to be designed by a Colorado Registered
Professional Engineer according the Weld County I.S.D.S. Regulations.
(This should be a condition-see #1 above)
