Home My WebLink About20053685.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO DECEMBER 21, 2005 TAPE #2005-49 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, December 21, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem Commissioner David E. Long Commissioner Robert D. Masden Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of December 19, 2005,as printed. Commissioner Long seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of$118,968.31. Commissioner Masden moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Long seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER ADDENDUM TO SEVEN AGREEMENTS TO PURCHASE RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER/RESIDENTIALCHILDCARE FACILITY SERVICESANDAUTHORIZECHAIRTOSIGN: Judy Griego, Director of Social Services,stated the addendum provides for an extension of the agreements until June 30, 2006, and reimbursement rates will remain the same. She stated the Department is requesting the extension to deal with the Statewide issue regarding Medicaid reimbursement negotiations at the Federal level. In response to Commissioner Vaad, Ms. Griego stated services provided at Residential Treatment Centers is reimbursed by Medicaid funding; however, services provided at Residential Child Care Facilities are not reimbursed by Medicaid funding. Commissioner Masden moved to approve said addendum and authorize Chairto sign.
