Home My WebLink About20052503.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO AUGUST 22, 2005 TAPE #2005-33 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, August 22, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem Commissioner David E. Long Commissioner Robert D. Masden Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Long moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of August 17, 2005, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of $16,439.35. Commissioner Masden moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Long seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN- WESTERN PATHOLOGY CONSULTANTS, INC. (WPCI) MAYFIELD: Judy Griego, Director of Social Services, stated WCPI Mayfield will provide monitored sobriety services at the Greeley and the South County facilities for families and adolescents involved in the child welfare system, for a term of June 1, 2005, through May 31, 2006. She stated the source of funding is Child Welfare Administration funding, and reimbursement will not exceed $30,000.00. Commissioner Geile moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously. 2005-2503 BC0016 067-6V-0S-- CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN- INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY SERVICES: Ms. Griego stated Individual and Group Therapy Services will provide domestic violence and anger management assessments and therapy for families and adolescents involved in the child welfare system, for a term of June 1, 2005, through May 31, 2006. She stated the source of funding is Child Welfare Administration funding. Responding to ChairJerke, Ms.Griego stated clients are cross-referenced for treatment of multiple issues, and the information is provided to the therapists, as the agreement states. Commissioner Masden moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Long, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
