The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, July 11, 2005, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair Pro-Tem and on roll call the following members
were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Chair- EXCUSED
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem
Commissioner David E. Long - EXCUSED
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom
Controller, Barbara Eurich
MINUTES: Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of July 6, 2005, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Barbara Eurich,Controller,presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount
of $50,287.28. Commissioner Masden moved to approve the warrants as presented by Ms. Eurich.
Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN:
Judy Griego, Director of Social Services, stated the agreement is part of the Interstate Compact process
between the State of Wyoming and Weld County on behalf of a youth placed with relatives in Wyoming.
She stated the term of the agreement is June 1,2005 through December 31,2005,and the Departmentwill
provide reimbursement from Core Services funding of $75.00 per day to LifeNet for a maximum
reimbursement level of$2,240.00 per month. Commissioner Masden moved to approve said agreement
and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by
the Acting Clerk to the Board.
