Gutierrez Dear Sirs: My letter to you today is to address a comment that I heard at the first Planning Commission hearing in regards to the above petition. I was there again yesterday, December 8th to express my opinion, but as we all know it was impossible since this was rescheduled. When Mr. &Mrs. Gutierrez stated that the monies that were raised we given to charity, there was a roar from the citizens of Aristocrat Acres. I was sitting 2 rows behind Ms. Gonzales who was the most vocal. I overheard her telling this gentleman that they were a bunch of liars. That who would actually give everything to charity? That she was sure there was something for them and not all for charity. She also said that if the Gutierrez's believed the planning board would believe them, there was something really wrong with them. I have known the Gutierrez' for over 10 years now. It truly bothers me and others to hear people express themselves of Berta & Martin Gutierrez in such a manner because we know for a fact the type of people that they are. They have to be one of the most giving couples I've had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with. Especially, Berta. I won't go into the many other endeavors that Berta does for people and children. 1 will enclose some of the newspaper clips from years past and most recent. Berta would not make mention of this when she was so rudely laughed at. I asked her, and she answered, "I don't know why, but for some reason people find it hard to believe that we give without asking anything in return. I guess my answer to you is that those people who do not believe we do this, are the bitter ones and the ones missing out on the nice warm feeling you get when you give or help someone in need. As long as we know, and the Boss upstairs knows, they can laugh and not believe all they want. While they are too busy doubting good deeds, we are already enjoying the good feeling and knowing that you have a heart because you are literally feeling it. The Gutierrez' are vey honest and very committed. What they are proposing is exactly as they have stated it. They do not lie or make up anything. They always deal with the truth, regardless of how hard it may be. N.STOWITYLFIt EXHIBIT P.O. PDX 3p4 1.1 y BRIGN'POw,- Co Pn6(01 (ft Sit#/y83 I will not be home for the January 5th hearing. The neighbors objections as to noise, pollution, drinking, fighting and other attendee conduct, traffic, parking, etc.and the sheriffs dept. observations can only be evaluated when the races are being held. Even then the neighbors' objections may not be confirmed as the attendees may be on their best behavior if they are aware that they are being observed. Nevertheless, it would seem more pertinent to deciding the case if public notice was given and observations were made during an actual event. John Folsom Do you Yahoo!?
