RE: DISPOSITION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY BY WELD COUNTY AT AUCTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of
administering the affairs of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Section 3-8 (4) (1) of the Weld County Home Rule
Charter provides that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, have the power to sell personal property
and
WHEREAS, Weld County has accumulated certain items as per-
sonal property which, in the opinion of the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, is no longer needed for
the ordinary governmental functions of Weld County, Colorado,
and is now considered to be surplus and should be disposed of,
which property is set forth in detail in the Exhibits consisting
of two (2) pages, and attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interest
of the County that the aforementioned items of personal property
be sold pursuant to law at the public auction to be held on
September 26, 1981 in the Adams County Auction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the County Finance
Officer for Weld County, advertise the sale of the said afore-
mentioned personal property pursuant to the apporiate statutes
governing such sales; and that any and all moneys received from
such sale held by Adams County shall be deposited in the respective
departments, the Department of Social Services and the Department
of Human Resources, for the aforementioned items.
NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, and hereby directs the Chair-
man of the Board to sign all certificates of sale having to do
with the aforementioned items.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
September, A. D. , 1981.

SUBJECT: Surplus Vehicles
DATE: August 31 , 1981
Jack Shumaker indicated IGA is participating in a joint auction cf surplus
vehicles with Adams County. We would like to dispose of a 1974 Ford Pinto
coupe which has over 100,000 miles and would need the engine rebuilt and clutch
replaced. It has been in storage since January, 1980. The VIN is 4X1OX267511
and the fixed asset number is 51-04-003.
We also want to dispose of the totaled 1977 Chevrolet Chevette hatchback which
was wrecked May, 1980. It has been in storage since that time. The VIN is
1J08E7Y21575, and the fixed asset number is 51-04-003.

Both titles are in the name of Weld County and are here at the department.
