RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING INTENT TO CREATE THE SOUTHWESTERN
WELD COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,a hearing before the Board was held on the 8th day of August,2005,to consider
the creation of the Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority,at which time the Board
deemed it advisable to continue said matter to August 29,2005,to allow adequate time to conduct
a work session, and
WHEREAS,at said hearing on August 29,2005,the Board deemed it advisable to continue
the hearing regarding the Intent to Create Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority
to September 21, 2005,at 9:00 a.m.,to be in accordance with the provisions stating action may not
be taken earlier than 45 days before the General Election.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to
September 21, 2005, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 29th day of August, A.D., 2005.
