RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE
SALE OF SAME TO BUSINESS EXPRESS OF FORT COLLINS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of
be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as a Kodak
Image Source 85 Copier/Duplicator, Serial Number 10093963, is no longer required for County
use, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a bid for purchase for said equipment for
and in consideration of the sum of$500.00 from Business Express of Fort Collins, Inc., 1014
South College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, 80524, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and
approve said bid proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared
surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the bid for purchase of said equipment
from Business Express of Fort Collins, Inc. in the amount of$500.00, be, and hereby is,
approved.

Dear Edna,
I would like to offer to purchase your Kodak Image Source 85 Copier/Duplicator for
the amount of$500 including any left over supplies you might have for it. About four
years ago I purchased 3 Kodak copiers from Weld County School District for $100
each. I am still using one of them daily in my store. Since your copier is newer than
those were I feel $500 would be a fair offer. As you know I am a former
Kodak/Danka service rep and now have my own Copy business in Fort Collins. Your
IS 85 would be put to good use and since I service it I am able to be profitable in my
business while keeping my prices low.
