Special Review Permit # 1321 for a 14 dog kennel
Dear County Commissioners and to whom it may concern:
My wife and I strongly object to this proposed use.
Please consider the following:
1. We live at 39445 Main Street, aprox 700 feet to the NW.
2. Noise, noise carries in this area and there are already barking dogs which
sometimes make living and enjoying our home unbearable. We are seniors and my
wife, due to health issues, must stay at home.
3. You may call this property agricultural but I(we) are being taxed at high
residential rates. If this use were allowed somebody else will try to put other
commercial type uses in the area and I feel that would also hurt property values.
4. I believe that allowing the proposed use will lower property values and make
resales even more pp difficult then they already are.

To Planning Dept&Board of Commissioners,
I would like to amend my original application for a private kennel(non-commercial)
of up to 14 adult dogs to be changed to 10 aduh dogs and my plan is to get down to 7 or 8
dogs over the next couple years.
I would also like to tell you about actions I have&am taking to alleviate the barking
issues. It seems the neighbor directly behind me on the south side is the main person
disturbed by this. Ism trying very hard to keep the dogs up when I can when she is
outside doing her activities. I have had one dog debarked that was the main offender and
I am using a few no-bark collars. Usually the barking is fairly brig because I
immediately take steps to stop them either by putting them up inside or stay out with
them to monitor the barking. Only 2-3 dogs are left out in big yard when I am gone which
usually do very little barking.
I have already placed a couple dogs since the last hearing and I hope to place 2-3 more as
soon as possa-ble. I truly do not want to disturb anyone and if need be I will debark more
dogs. I enjoy the love and companionship of these dogs&would really like to continue
my hobby of showing schipperkes.

Ruth Bucy
