RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF WELD COUNTYROAD 62 BETWEEN WELD COUNTY ROAD 17 AND
NEW LIBERTY STREET FOR TWO MONTHS, FOR INSTALLATION OF A SANITARY
SEWER INTERCEPTOR LINE
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance,temporarily close to
through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof
for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days for project
completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road closure
establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative routing of
the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS,the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal
investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close
to through traffic and to regulate,warn and guide vehicular traffic on said County roads by posting
signs thereon.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,deems it necessary to regulate,warn and guide vehicular traffic on County roads
and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic control
devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the
safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal Manual
on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 62 between Weld County Road 17
and New Liberty Street be temporarily closed,with said closure being effective November 14,2005,
for approximately two months for installation of a sanitary sewer interceptor line, and further, that
standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the
restrictions.

The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 9th day of November, A.D., 2005.

SUBJECT: Road Closure for WCR 62 from WCR 17 to New Liberty St
This is a road closure to be submitted to the BOCC for the 11/9/05 agenda. GLH Construction is requesting the
closure of WCR 62 from WCR 17 to New Liberty St. in the Water Valley South subdivision for the installation of a
sanitary sewer interceptor line. The requested closure is scheduled to take place starting on November 14, 2005
and go until January 14, 2006.
The detour route will be Windsor roads, Cross Roads Blvd (paved) and New Liberty Parkway(paved). GLH
Construction has agreed to place Variable Message boards up with project and road closure information.
