This is in regards to the pending Water Storage tank permit for Aurora Dairy. As a result
of the sign off from State Health, Planning Staff has no additional conditions and this
permit can therefore be released.

Subject: Aurora Dairy - Proposed Additional Water Tank
Chris,
Subsequent to our telephone conversation this morning, I had the opportunity to review the
system conditions and current state regulations for public water systems (PWS) , the
Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations (5 CCR 1003-1) . This message serves to
summarize the facts of the situation as we understand them, and provides a determination
of the regulatory status of this facility based on these
facts :
1 . The Aurora Dairy bottling facility receives its drinking water from a regulated PWS,
the Little Thompson Water District via a commercial service.
2. Aurora Dairy bottling facility uses the water received within its business operations,
and does not resell the water to other consumers.
Based on these facts, Aurora Dairy is a water consumer and not a PWS.
Therefore, the proposed water tank at this site is not regulated by the Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment, Water Quality Control Division.
