RE: ITEMIZED LIST OF LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2006
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2006 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day January 1, 2006 falls on Sunday, therefore,
day off is Monday, January 2, 2006
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 20, 2006
Memorial Day Monday, May 29, 2006
Independence Day Monday, July 3, 2006, and Tuesday, July 4,
2006 (replaces Colorado Day)
Labor Day Monday, September 4, 2006
Veterans Day Friday, November 10, 2006
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 23, 2006, and
Friday, November 24, 2006 (replaces
King's Birthday)
Christmas Monday, December 25, 2006,
and Friday, December 22, 2006
(replaces Columbus Day)
FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by
State of Colorado.
District Attorney-- July 3, November 24, and December 22, 2006

NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado,that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the calendar
year of 2006 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 31st day of August, A.D., 2006.
