RE : EXPAND LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND APPOINT JANICE
SORENSON, RUTH GARTRELL, EVAN PATTERSON AND WALKER
MILLER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board deems it in the best interests of Weld
County to expand the Library Board from 5 members to 9 members;
one member to be appointed from each of the six advisory board
areas and three members to be appointed at-large, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Janice Sorenson
of advisory board area 1 and Ruth Gartrell of advisory board
area 5 be appointed to , serve terms to expire November 23 ,
1984; Evan Patterson and Walker Miller be appointed at-large
with terms expiring November 23 , 1982 and November 23 , 1983 ,
respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Janice Sorenson,
Ruth Gartrell, Evan Patterson and Walker Miller be, and
hereby are, appointed as members of the Weld County Library
Board of Trustees for the terms stated herein.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 23rd
day of November, A. D. , 1981.
