RE: APPROVE COST SHARING AGREEMENT FOR AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - NORTH WELD COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Cost Sharing Agreement for Aerial
Photography between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County,on behalf of the Geographic Information Services Department,and
North Weld County Water District, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said
agreement, and
WHEREAS,after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement,a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Cost Sharing Agreement for Aerial Photography between the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on
behalf of the Geographic Information Services Department,and North Weld County Water District
be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
"rime- vote on the 16th day of February, A.D., 2005.

Re: Aerial photography
North Weld County Water District("District")Board of Directors approved on January 24, 2005
to cost share with Weld County in the acquisition of aerial photography. North Weld County
Water District will contribute $137.77 per Section for 98 Sections that lie within Weld County
and the Districts' Service Area where the current photography is at a lower resolution (the not-so-
good 3' pixel resolution)than the proposed resolution of 1-foot pixels. See attached map of the
area of orthophotography to be upgraded. The District understands that Weld County will share
an electronic version(MrSID compressed area formats)of the photography with North Weld
County Water District.
Weld County will contract with Merrick, as the contractor selected through the Weld County
procurement process, for these services and serve as project managers for this work effort. Weld
County will invoice the District and include copies of the invoices from Merrick as supporting
documentation. The District will pay the invoice directly to Weld County within 30 days of
receipt.
The District is still surveying the waterlines and features of the District's water system.
Currently, approximately 80% of the District has been surveyed. North Weld County Water
District will forward the electronic shape files to Weld County GIS (for internal use only*) when
completed or at the request of Weld County we can share what the District currently has
surveyed.
*The District requests that Weld County not publish the utility information provided to the
general public to ensure security of the water system.
