RE: APPROVE DESIGNATION OF BROKERS / DEALERS FOR INVESTMENT OF
WELD COUNTY FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Treasurer has requested authorization for the Brokers and
Dealers who will be investing Weld County funds, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it in
the best interest of Weld County to designate the following brokers /dealers for investment of
the funds of Weld County:

Re: Approved Broker/Dealers
I would like to have an updated list of Brokers/Dealers approved that I plan on using.
There are a couple of changes due to traders changing companies, etc. I had traded with
Allan Schnall when I was here in 2002 when he was with Fahnestock but when I returned
last December he was with Sterling and I told him I wouldn't consider trading with him
as long as he was with Sterling due to their lack of capital. He now is with BB&T which
is highly capitalized so I did add him to the list.
Enclosed are copies of the specific resolution forms requested by UBS and Citigroup
which I would like to know whether they can be completed as requested. I retained the
originals to complete. Also I would suggest that you, Sue Young and I be authorized on
the accounts. I would like to add Sue for two reasons 1) she has an interest in learning
about investments and 2) if they need information on a transaction I have initiated and I
am not available she could respond. I don't see her as initiating any trades but just being
available to do some followup.
