RE: APPROVE RECOMMENDATION OF APPOINTMENTS TO JUVENILE SERVICES
PLANNING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 19-2-1602.7 of House Bill 93-134 and by Resolution
dated July 7, 1993, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, together
with the Chief Judge of the Judicial District, agreed to create the Local Juvenile Services
Planning Committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Mike Geile be appointed to said committee to
replace Glenn Vaad as the Weld County Commissioner representative; Dave Tuttle to replace
Sterling Geesaman as the Weld County Sheriff's Office representative; Paulette Tarnasky to
replace Wayne Maxwell as the North Range Behavioral Health representative; and Dana Wilks to
replace Jerry Wommack as the 19th Judicial District Probation Department representative; and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to recommend to the Chief Judge of the
Nineteenth Judicial District that Mike Geile be appointed to said committee to replace Glenn Vaad
as the Weld County Commissioner representative; Dave Tuttle to replace Sterling Geesaman as
the Weld County Sheriffs Office representative; Paulette Tarnasky to replace Wayne Maxwell as
the North Range Behavioral Health representative; and Dana Wilks to replace Jerry Wommack
as the 19th Judicial District Probation Department representative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Mike Geile, Dave Tuttle, Paulette Tarnasky, and Dana Wilks be,
and hereby are, recommended to the Chief Judge of the Judicial District for appointments to the
Local Juvenile Services Planning Committee.
