HomeMy WebLinkAbout20021617 RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE MODIFICATIONS TO LIST OF CATEGORIES OF EMPLOYEES SUBJECT TO TESTING FOR WELD COUNTY'S POLICY IMPLEMENTING THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION REGULATIONS ON DRUG USE AND ALCOHOL MISUSE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, on October 8, 1997, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a Policy Implementing the Federal Highway Administration Regulations on Drug Use and Alcohol Misuse, and WHEREAS, said Policy includes a list of categories of employees subject to testing pursuant to said policy, and WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Public Works Department, the Board now desires to modify said list by adding the categories of"Motor Grader Operators without CDL Licenses" and "Mower Operators" and deleting the categories of"Operations Director," "Engineering Administrator," and "Vegetation Management Specialist." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the categories of"Motor Grader Operators without CDL Licenses" and "Mower Operators" be, and hereby are, added to, and the categories of "Operations Director," "Engineering Administrator," and "Vegetation Management Specialist" be, and hereby are, deleted from the list of categories of employees subject to testing, pursuant to Weld County's Policy Implementing the Federal Highway Administration Regulations on Drug Use and Alcohol Misuse, adopted by the Board on October 8, 1997, such that said list is now as follows: Motor Grader Operators without CDL Licenses Mower Operators Service Workers I, II, and III Lead worker Welder III Foreman Supervisor nC PO PC 2002-1617 l / PE0020 RE: MODIFICATIONS TO LIST OF CATEGORIES OF EMPLOYEES SUBJECT TO TESTING FOR WELD COUNTY'S POLICY IMPLEMENTING THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION REGULATIONS ON DRUG USE AND ALCOHOL MISUSE PAGE 2 The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of June, A.D., 2002.
