RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2003
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2003 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day Wednesday, January 1, 2003
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 17, 2003
Memorial Day Monday, May 26, 2003
Independence Day Friday, July 4, 2003, and
Thursday, July 3, 2003
(replaces Colorado Day)
Labor Day Monday, September 1, 2003
Veterans Day Tuesday, November 11, 2003
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 27, 2003, and
Friday, November 28, 2003 (replaces
King's Birthday)
Christmas Thursday, December 25, 2003,
and Friday, December 26, 2003
(replaces Columbus Day)
FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) --Will follow holiday schedule as set by
State of Colorado.
District Attorney -- July 3, November 28, and December 26, 2003

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the
calendar year of 2003 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of July, A.D., 2002.
