RE: APPLICATION FOR LETTER OF CREDIT FOR SELF-INSURANCE OF WORKER'S
COMPENSATION LIABILITY.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1980, the Insurance Commission of Colorado
notified Weld County that their application for self-insurance had been
approved contingent upon the receipt of a Letter of Credit in the amount of
$200,000.00, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has had a Letter of Credit issued for this purpose
via the Greeley National Bank since that date, and
WHEREAS, the Insurance Commission of Colorado has recently changed their
rules now requiring a Letter of Credit in the amount of $300,000.00 for all
self-insured entities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is hereby
authorized to submit an application for a Letter of Credit on behalf of Weld
County in the amount of $300,000.00 for the self-insurance of Worker's
Compensation liability.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote
