RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF INCREASE IN MILEAGE ALLOWANCE FROM SIXTEEN CENTS (160) PER
MILE TO TWENTY CENTS (200) PER MILE, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1981.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is
vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the County Attorney has advised the Board of County Commissioners
that mileage reimbursement is a matter of compensation, and under the Weld County
Home Rule Charter the Board can establish the mileage reimbursement rate for
County employees and officials, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Weld County institute a rate increase
of the County mileage allowance from 160 per mile to 200 per mile to reflect
the increased cost of auto operation, and
WHEREAS, all departments were instructed to budget in their 1981 mileage
account at the 200 per mile rate, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have adopted the 1981 final
budget with the 200 per mile reimbursement rate included.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado that an increase of Weld County's mileage allowance
from 160 per mile to 200 per mile be, and hereby is, approved, except that
existing contracts shall continue with the 16Q per mile rate until termination
of each contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado that said increase shall be effective January 1, 1981.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 24th day of November, A.D. , 1980.
