RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Emergency Medical Services Council, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Jim Sullivan be appointed to said board as
the Southwest Fire representative, to replace Brandy Houston; that Larry Sheets be appointed
as the Northwest Fire representative, to replace Pat Romansik; and that Bill Ramsel be
appointed as the Southeast Fire representative, to replace Gary Sandau, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Tim Zimmerman be reappointed to said
board as the Tri-Area Ambulance representative; that Randy Carleton be reappointed as the
Office of Emergency Management representative; that Mark Gray be reappointed as the Fire
Chiefs representative; and that former Aims EMS Department representative, Mary Mast, be
reappointed and reassigned as the Union Colony Fire representative, to replace Tom Bizzell,
and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Jim Sullivan to said board, with his
term to expire January 1, 2005; and to appoint Larry Sheets and Bill Ramsel to said board, with
their terms to expire January 1, 2003.
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint Tim Zimmerman, Randy
Carleton, and Mark Gray to said board, with their terms to expire January 1, 2005; and to
reappoint and reassign Mary Mast to said board, with her term to expire January 1, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Jim Sullivan be, and hereby is, appointed to the Emergency
Medical Services Council, with his term to expire January 1, 2005; and that Larry Sheets and
Bill Ramsel be, and hereby are, appointed to the Emergency Medical Services Council, with
their terms to expire January 1, 2003.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Tim Zimmerman, Randy Carleton, and Mark Gray be, and hereby are,
reappointed to the Emergency Medical Services Council, with their terms to expire January 1,
2005; and that Mary Mast be, and hereby is, reappointed and reassigned to the Emergency
Medical Services Council, with her term to expire January 1, 2003.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of June, A.D., 2002.
