RESOLUTION
RE: GRANT REQUEST OF O' KIEFFE BROADCASTING COMPANY TO PRE-ADVER-
TISE THE APPLICATION FOR A USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , Kenneth F. Lind, Attorney representing O'Kieffe
Broadcasting Company, submitted a letter to the Board of County
Commissioners requesting that their Use by Special Review appli-
cation be pre-advertised, and
WHEREAS , a copy of said letter is attached hereto and in-
corporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS , after review, the Board deems it appropriate to
grant said request to pre-advertise this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request to pre-
advertise the application for a Use by Special Review for O'Kieffe
Broadcasting Company be , and hereby is , granted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of
November, A.D. , 1984 .

NOTICE
Pursuant to the zoning laws of the State of Colorado and the Weld
County Zoning Ordinance, a public hearing will be held in the
Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First
Floor, Greeley, Colorado, at the time specified. All persons in
any manner interested in the Use by Special Review are requested
to attend and may be heard.
BE IT ALSO KNOWN that the text and maps so certified by the Weld
County Planning Commission may be examined in the office of the

Dear Chairman Carlson:
Pursuant to the County procedures for pre-advertising land use appli-
cations, please let this serve as a request for pre-advertising concerning Use
by Special Review 657 and Subdivision Exemption, both of which concern the
applications by O'Kieffe Broadcasting Company for radio tower facilities in
Weld County, Colorado.
The Use by Special Review Application is scheduled to be heard before the
Planning Commission on December 4, 1984 and we are requesting pre-advertising
for both the USR and Subdivision Exemption so that a hearing before the County
Commissioners can be held on December 19, 1984. The reason for the pre-
advertising request is that O'Kieffe Broadcasting Company must commence tower
construction prior to the end of the year to be in compliance with certain
rules and regulations as promulgated by the Federal Communications Comnission.
Due to possible weather related problems it is imperative that construction be
commenced as early as possible in December so that the radio tower is
completed prior to the end of 1984. The canpany which will install the tower
in the event the Use by Special Review and Subdivision Exemption is approved
has indicated that two to three weeks of construction time is necessary and
that is the reason for our request for the hearing on December 19, 1984.
We guarantee payment of all pre-advertising and/or advertising costs and
expenses as necessary.
